One of the most relaxed caravan parks I have ever stayed in - perfect location - shielded from the south by the headland - great facilities - nice patrons - very secure - great beach - walking tracks through the headland for an early walk - even caught a fish
I love this place - there is a “but” - this is what tourism can do to a great thing - it is so over visited now that it is outright dangerous to visit - the vehicle traffic is now out-of-control - I have been there 2 times in 2019 and both times had near misses with some other driver not watching the road… very sad!
What a beautiful little town this is - I love it - I love the location - the people - the scenery - it is a bit cold and windy sometime - but on my top 10 towns in Australia - a must for anyone that has not been there - the beautiful south coast of Victoria - so green…
Again - what a beautiful untouched part of Australia - I could have stayed here for a least a month - very remote and the people are very transient - the locals are a bit removed and non committed - but very casual and relaxed
WOW - how remote is this place - no wonder they died trying to cross here in the old days - not much more I can say…
What a gem this town is - and not small either - it would have to be one of the most remote towns in Australia - but what a beauty - I loved it - it was cold and windy but beautiful - a very rural town - so not the ego of the mining towns - I could live here except for the cold - worth a visit if you are in WA
This is what I came for - anyone that gets the chance to go to the West Coast of Australia must visit this place - even though very remote - it is worth a stop of at least a few days - loved every part of this place
This place would have to be the place that god forgot to complete - the most remote desert place in the world - wow - only scenery is Ant Mounds - and look how big they are…
I could live here…
I came here for 3 main Things - To Vote in the 2019 election - To get the Van Serviced - To take pics of the Moon rise on the 18 May - I could do a complete section on Broome - not one thing I don’t like about the place - except maybe how remote it is from anywhere…
About 3 or 4 times per year the moon rises a little after sunset - and if this also co-insides with a high tide - the a weird pheromone occurs - it is called a stairway to heaven because the swell of the waves look a little like steps leading to the moon - this is a very rare occurrence that I planned for
This is something that needs to be experienced - people live here - I am not sure how - but they do - the local indigenous are very obvious - and yes I know that it is the 1% that give us white men the bigotry attitudes that we often have - I could spend a whole section on this - very sad…
Well - this just shows how out of touch politician really are - to build a Dam 2,000 Kms from the closest anything that holds 6 times the water in Sydney Harbour that is used for virtually nothing - one of the most disgusting environmental cocks I have ever seen… so sad - maybe this will become of more use in the future…
I spent 3 days in Kakado - strange place - the whiteies don’t seem to understand the significance of this place - and bit like the Rock - it has a strange spiritual significance about it - the vastness - the wetness - the Hugh vegetation spareness - the very unusual animals
I took lots of Photos - some of which are above - I purposely did not take photos in some places to be spiritually and culturally respectful
I think that anyone that gets a chance to do this trip or even parts of it will be a wiser person - such a big country - the people are very interesting - the traveler (like I was) all have stories - most of the locals in some of the remote spots all arrived for a reason - and often stayed for a different reason
I hope that life gives me the opportunity to do this trip again or at least parts of it…
Note: None of these Pics taken on this trip are Post edited and are randoms that I have selected as a good representation of what I was trying to capture…
